Thank you for
visiting the online museum which contains the complete works of
Verner Panton (1926-1998). Verner Panton was the most remarkable
innovative talent of 20th Century design and architecture. Verner
Panton's design was consistently brilliant. Verner Panton was first
to create inflatable furniture, pioneered with the much acclaimed
single molded plastic Panton chair and refused to accept gravity
by creating the Flying Chair. Verner Panton envisioned a colorful
and happy future. The career of Verner Panton was highlighted by
the Fantasy landscapes he created for Bayer in 1968 and 1970 (Dralon
& Visiona II) that have now achieved cult status. Verner Panton
was not obstructed by limitations that adults incur throughout life.
Instead, he thought and created with the imaginary vision of a child,
in bold beautiful colors and shapes. Verner Panton was blessed with
his beautiful wife Marianne, daughter Carin and their dog "Happy"
(the name says it all)! He departed this world way too early in
1998 but his dreams live on in thousands & thousands of people and
an entire new generation is still discovering his magical world
every day.We hope you enjoy your discovery! Thanks again for visiting
